Basque Cultural Center 2025 Business of the Year
Supervisor and former Congresswoman Jackie Speier presented the Basque Cultural Center Restaurant Director of Operations, Aimee Goyhenetche Rocha, with the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce 2025 Business of the Year Award on October 16th, 2025. In accepting this award Aimee thanked “the incredible staff of the Basque Cultural Center for their hard work, dedication, and teamwork. Their commitment behind the scenes—whether in the kitchen, the dining room, or at our events—makes everything run smoothly and helps create the warm, welcoming atmosphere our guests love. We truly couldn’t do it without them.” She thanked Isabelle Bushman, President of the Catering Board and the entire Catering Board. “Your support and confidence in my leadership have meant so much to me. And we’re so grateful for our loyal customers who’ve become part of our extended family: SSF Rotary, SB Rotary, SSF Kiwanis, the Lunch Bunch car group, Native Sons, Opus, SIRS, Les Faneurs, Les Chasseurs — and the many regular guests who fill our restaurant with laughter and stories year after year. A special thank you to the Basque community for building the Basque Cultural Center, giving all of us a place to celebrate our heritage and keep our Basque customs alive.”
