2019 Irizar award for best Basque Film at the San Sebastian International Film Festival

Higinio and Rosa have only been married for a few months when the Civil War breaks out, representing a serious threat to his life. Helped by his wife, they decide to use a hole dug into their own home as a provisional hiding place. The fear of potential reprisals and the love they feel for one another will condemn them to an imprisonment that will last for more than 30 years.

Aitor Arregi, Jon Garaño, Jose Mari Goenaga

The collaboration between Aitor Arregi (Oñati, España.1977), Jon Garaño (San Sebastian, 1974) and Jose Mari Goenaga (Ordizia, Spain. 1976) in the Moriarti production company has produced among others the feature films Lucio (Arregi and Goenaga, 2007), premiered at the San Sebastian Festival and nominated for the Best Documentary Goya, 80 Egunean (For 80 Days, Garaño and Goenaga, 2010), presented in Zinemira and winner of the Sebastiane Award in San Sebastian, Loreak (Flowers, Garaño and Goenaga, 2014), which competed in the San Sebastian Festival's Official Selection, was nominated for the Best Film Goya and selected to represent Spain at the Academy Awards, and Handia (Giant, Arregi and Garaño, 2017), winner of the Special Jury Prize and the Irizar Award in San Sebastian, as well as 10 Goyas.
