BCC Mus Madness

BCC Mus Madness

‍ ‍
Get your card faces ready, it’s time for another BCC Mus Madness! Join us on Sunday, June 28th, for a full day dedicated to the Basque Country’s favorite card game.

Whether you are a seasoned Muslari or have never held a card deck in your life, this event is all about community, culture, and a little friendly competition. We’ll start the morning right at 8:30 AM with coffee, muffins, and fresh fruit to fuel your strategy.

‍ ‍

Adult Tournament
Prizes: Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Note: This is a fun-focused tournament and is not an N.A.B.O. Mus Finals qualifier. And remember, NABO changed the minimum age to 16 so this is a great opportunity to prep your children or grandchildren for upcoming NABO tournaments!

Not sure how to play? No problem. We are offering free Mus lessons for everyone in the afternoon. If you’ve been wanting to learn the difference between Hordago and Paso, this is your chance!

Please note that Valerie Arretchea will be continuing Mus lessons on Sunday afternoons starting in the fall. If you are interested, I will be happy to pass your information on to her.

Lunch: Planning to stay for the Sunday Members Lunch? Please RSVP by June 24th so we can save you a seat.

The menu on the 28th is as follows:

Soup of the Day

Oxtail Stew

Skirt Steak with Fries and Veggies

Cheese and Salad

Apple Tart

Let’s play some cards, share some laughs, and celebrate our heritage together!

If you wish to share your baking talents or extras from your garden, feel free!  A big thank you to Jean Goni for providing donuts and to Marissa Espinal for bringing homemade apple tartlets!  They were all yummy!  And to Tony Espinal for bringing chocolate covered almonds!

Looking forward to seeing all of you!
